About Working Gorilla

Working Gorilla is an independent design studio built around one simple idea: helping businesses turn ideas into something they can see, use, and build on. From website design and quick website updates to AI-powered visual concepts and creative design, Working Gorilla combines decades of traditional design experience with today’s newest creative technology. The goal has always been the same – create smart, original work that helps an idea move forward.

Behind Working Gorilla is a designer with more than 30 years of professional creative experience spanning web design, graphic design, branding, digital media, illustration, and visual concept development. Over the course of that career, the work has included projects involving major names such as Disney, Mattel, Buick, Eddie Bauer, Discover Card, the University of Michigan Business School, and many others. That experience also extended into education, teaching design and digital media at two colleges and a university, along with work that has been featured in a book, magazine, newspaper, podcast, and multiple television appearances.

Working Gorilla itself has been creating for businesses for more than 20 years. What started as a freelance design business has continued to evolve alongside the technology – from the early days of commercial web design to WordPress, digital graphics, and now AI-assisted creative development. Today, Working Gorilla brings all of that experience together: the judgment and fundamentals that come from decades of professional design, combined with new tools that make it possible to explore ideas in ways that weren’t possible before. The tools keep changing. The job is still to create something good.
